Age: 58

Tell us about your day job: I work as a Textiles and Dress Conservator.
Favourite thing to do when you’re not doing your day job? Since Covid lockdown, I’ve become very interested in gardening. I enjoy creating spaces that gives me a lot of pleasure.
How long have you been coming to Scout Pilates? Probably around 2 years.
What keeps you coming back? I love the atmosphere at Scout Pilates, the staff is friendly and supportive especially lovely Ollie, the studios have a NYC loft vibe, and care and attention have gone to create an immersive experience through uplifting scents that permeate the air the minute you step through the door. There is always something interesting on the Scout schedule that entices you to return for another day. I admire a business that extends and grows to support current trends and interests.
Favourite class and why? It would have to be the mat classes, Contour & Condition. As we age, our bodies are not as flexible or supple as they were and mat classes succeed in working all the muscle groups that keep me strong, agile and nimble.
Favourite Pilates position? All 34? I do like side bends and planks best.
Enough Pilates chat, what in your life gives you the most energy? Being part of a creative team working together to deliver something extraordinary!
Tell us your favourite place to eat or drink in the Inner West and what you order when you’re there? My favourite place to eat is Cafe Paci in Newtown, I ordered Skull Island King Prawns with black pepper butter and lime. Their potato bread is to die for but my dessert, the carrot sorbet with yoghurt foam and liquorice was so good I had 2!
What advice would you give to your 15-year-old self? Do not be afraid to speak your mind.
What was the last text message you received? Wordle 3/6
If you could travel ANYWHERE tomorrow where would you go? Probably straight back to Italy and Spain then a hop skip and jump to Finland.
What goal do you want to achieve by the end of the year? To maintain good health and flexibility!
