Goal as a teacher: My goal is to have students feel in awe of their own capabilities and proud of themselves for simply showing up, and making time for movement in their busy day!

In Yoga, I tend to sprinkle in storytelling and create sequences that foster connection and mindfulness.

Goal as a teacher: To create a sense of grounding and connection to self—whether through storytelling in Yoga or educating the physical body in Pilates.

What do you do when you’re not teaching: I love spending time outdoors, enjoying picnics, splashing in the water, and going on walks with my toddler and greyhound!

TOM CONROY

Teacher certifications: Certificate IV Pilates Teaching (Mat and Reformer).

Specialty: Creative sequencing that gets you using every bit of your machine, and every bit of your body.

Classes you teach at Scout: Reformer Pilates.

Teaching style: Layered sequences and full body flows that take you on a journey around your reformer. I always give you ways to make things spicier if you're up for a challenge, or help you modify an exercise if you need to take things down a notch. Expect a soundtrack of indie, pop, house beats, and a power ballad or two.

Goal as a teacher: I'm passionate about creating an inclusive environment, where every person walks out of the studio stronger, sweatier, and a little more fearless. I believe the reformer is for every body.

What do you do when you’re not teaching: Bodysurfing at Bondi Beach, giggling to clips of drag queens, or working towards my goal of reading 52 books a year.
