ANDREW TENNENT
Age: 35
Star sign: Cancer
Tell us about your day job! I’m a High School English Teacher.
Favourite thing to do when you’re not doing your day job? Climbing or surfing with friends or reading.
How long have you been coming to Scout Pilates? Just over a year? I think?
What keeps you coming back? The people! The instructors are the best and I’ve been lucky to run into a few old friends and make some new ones too!
Favourite class and why? This is a really hard question because there are so many good classes and teachers at Scout! I’m going to have to say it’s a tie between Mandi’s reformer classes.. because Mandi is the best and has the best playlists! And Diana’s flow classes because they are so challenging but she makes them so fun and enjoyable!
Favourite pilates position? Again another hard question… maybe teasers or planks?
Enough Pilates chat, what in your life gives you the most energy? My friends and family for sure!
Tell us your favourite place to eat or drink in the Inner West and what you order when you’re there: Coppermill in Erskineville hands down the best cafe in Sydney. I always get my daily coffee hit from there, double shot espresso and the beef brisket toastie is to die for!
What advice would you give to your 15-year-old self? Find a climbing gym and get into climbing now!
What was the last text message you received? “Thanks” from my mate.
If you could travel ANYWHERE, where would you go? Either Spain or Japan!
What goal do you want to achieve by the end of the year? Improve my arm balances, especially sideways crow
