SCOUT PROFILE SERIES - Fred
We love our inner west community and even more to sit down and chat with our team and clients about their life stories, what they’re up to when they’re not at Scout, and of course what keeps them coming back to the studio.
For this first edition of our Scout Profile Series, meet Fred! An adventurous Creative Director and Motion Graphics Designer and sunset lover who has been practicing at Scout for over a year.

Tell us about your day job: Creative Director and Motion Graphics Designer. - I create digital content for immersive experiences and live events.
Favourite thing to do when you’re not doing your day job? I'm a bit of an epicurean. I love good food, great wine, and good company. When not hosting dinner parties I am most certainly out for day trips along the coast or out dancing with friends.
How long have you been coming to Scout Pilates? For about one year.
What keeps you coming back? I love the facilities and the wide range of class times available. Having different instructors also helps to keep it interesting and diverse.
Favourite class and why? I love the high-energy classes with Vee on Wednesday morning. She is good at challenging us while keeping it fun and dynamic.
Favourite Pilates position? Long Spine or Mermaid Stretch.
Enough Pilates chat, what in your life gives you the most energy? Beautiful sunset by the ocean or just drinking my daily ice oat latte in the morning sun.
Tell us your favourite place to eat or drink in the Inner West and what you order when you’re there. VM Streetfood on Illawarra Road in Marrickville. Best authentic Vietnamese"Bun Cha" in Sydney if not the World.
What advice would you give to your 15-year-old self? Keep moving! You don't have to be an athlete just find something you like and keep doing it.
If you could travel ANYWHERE tomorrow where would you go? I would most likely go hike the "Inca Trails" in Peru or travel across South America.
What goal do you want to achieve by the end of the year? I would like to keep working towards having a better life/work balance, feel better in my body and ultimately be fit enough to do a handstand :)
