How long have you been teaching Pilates? I’ve been teaching Pilates for 6 years.
How did you first get into Pilates? I’ve had a motorcycle accident in 2012 and had to do clinical Pilates for my recovery, it was love at first sight and has changed my life forever.
What's your favourite Pilates pose? My favourite movement is the Semi Circle I love how it feels on my spine. But I believe so strongly in back extensions that you’ll always see me teaching prone back work on the box in my classes. It’s my duty to our clients, the effect of that workout just blows my mind.
What's your favourite thing about teaching at Scout Pilates? I’ve been teaching all over town in a lot of studios and the love that you feel at Scout is absolutely undeniable! From management to fellow instructors to all our beautiful clients, just such a happy place……it’s like coming to work and hanging out with your mates. I AM DEFINITELY HERE TO STAY !
Enough Pilates chat, what in your life gives you the most energy? I love people so much, but to recharge I love doing an early morning run with my dog Django and watching the sun come up - it’s like a new day brings new possibilities! But as everyone here at Scout knows, I do love a good pub session with usually one to many seltzers. You gotta balance, right?
Tell us your favourite place to eat in the inner west and what you order there? No favourite place yet as I just moved to the west a couple of months ago. But the steak sandwich at Toxteth hotel is absolutely insane.
What advice would you give to your 15-year-old self? Keep on going sunshine, bring joy and happiness and receive joy and happiness, the law of attraction is real.
Last great book that you read? Jo Nesbo The Son , I love love love Jo Nesbo.
If you could travel ANYWHERE tomorrow, where would you go? Home to Munich / Germany, I’m really homesick atm and miss my family so incredibly much.
What goal do you want to achieve by the end of the year? My goal , always the same each year , stay healthy and fit. “A sick person has one goal, a healthy person has a million.”
